Abortion Story Summary: I spent several years in college teaching safer sex classes and assumed that my personal knowledge would somehow magically protect me from an unwanted pregnancy. I suffered from the idea that “smart, educated” women don’t need abortions and I must admit, was pretty harsh on myself when I realized abortion would be a part of my life experience. Even after making my choice, it took years for me to accept that my reasons and my choice were moral, valid, and worthy of being shared. I want to do whatever I can to make sure those who find themselves pregnant and unwilling can confidently make their choices, heads held high, without struggling to forgive and love themselves.
